Some residents on the east side of Colorado Springs awoke this morning to gunfire; a person was hit by two rounds and taken to a local hospital, police said.
The incident happened at 5:05 a.m. at the Pinions Apartments, 3611 Airport Road, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department online blotter.
At least 13 shots were fired inside an apartment building and in a parking lot, police said.
The wounds the victim suffered are not life-threatening, according to police.
The shooter remains at-large and police did not release a motive in the incident.
