For the record: The Cougars (8-2, 5-1 Mountain West) defeated winless New Mexico 24-19 on Saturday in Albuquerque.

Who’s hot: Quarterback Max Hall has seven 300-yard passing games this season. He’s completing 70 percent of his passes.

Who’s not: The Cougars don’t have a single appearance in a BCS bowl.
