DENVER—The Colorado Avalanche have recalled goaltender Tyler Weiman from the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.
Weiman will be available for Thursday night’s game in Pittsburgh against the Penguins.
Weiman appeared in 15 games for the Monsters this season, going 6-8-1 with a 2.41 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage. Last year, he led the AHL with eight shutouts.
He has appeared in one NHL game, stopping all 10 shots he faced in relief on Oct. 4, 2007, at Nashville.
The Avalanche also reassigned forward Brian Willsie to Lake Erie.
