ABERDEEN, S.D.—A Colorado man who authorities say sold engraved firearms to Aberdeen’s 125th anniversary committee and three local residents but did not deliver them has been sentenced on grand theft charges.
Forty-four-year-old Steven Pierson of Fort Collins, Colo., was sentenced to 90 days in county jail, $1,500 in fines and five years’ probation. He also must make restitution totaling nearly $16,000.
Pierson was granted a suspended imposition of sentence, meaning the convictions will not go on his record if he follows the terms of his probation.
