GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Palisade bankruptcy attorney accused of dealing methamphetamine has pleaded not guilty.
Fifty-four-year-old James Zink is charged with possession and distribution of methamphetamine, plus a sentence-enhancing, special-offender charge.
His attorney, Gordon Gallagher, didn’t indicate at a court hearing Thursday whether Zink would accept a plea offer from prosecutors.
Arrest affidavits say a confidential informant working for federal agents bought about 1 gram of suspected meth from Zink earlier this year and that officers who went to Zink’s home in July allegedly found a half ounce of meth, psilocybin mushrooms, firearms and paraphernalia associated with drug dealing.
