A person was killed this morning in a one-car accident in which the person veered off of Highway 24 and crashed, authorities say.
The identity of the driver has not been released.
The accident was spotted by another driver at about 8 a.m. this morning near McClelland Road, said Sharon Smith, a dispatcher for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident, Smith said.
