GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A woman who admitted concocting a story about her husband being killed saving a young girl during combat in Iraq is accused of violating her probation.

Twenty-nine-year-old Sarah Kenney was arrested Dec. 24 and appeared in Mesa County District Court Tuesday. She pleaded guilty in 2005 to a felony count of criminal impersonation to gain a benefit and was placed on four years probation.

Kenney is accused of violating her probation by missing three meetings with probation officers in December 2007 and March 2008. Authorities could not locate her until recently. District Judge Valerie Robison allowed Kenney to return to her home in Weld County while the case is pending.
