BOULDER, Colo.—New York-based Kidrobot, which started as a toy store and is now a multimillion-dollar pop-art toy producer with an apparel line, is moving its headquarters to Colorado.
Company founder and President Paul Budnitz says Kidrobot hopes to have an office operational in Boulder by March or April.
Budnitz, who moved to Montana about a year and a half ago, says Boulder is a creative hub without the big-city noise.
Kidrobot expects to bring about half of the 45-person team in its New York headquarters to Colorado. The others will stay with the New York office.
Budnitz says the company hopes to hire about 20 to 25 more people locally.
