BOULDER, Colo.—A 39-year-old Longmont man accused of playing Russian roulette with his ex-girlfriend has pleaded guilty to felony menacing.
Garrett Odel Brierly agreed to a plea deal Friday and is scheduled to be sentenced later this month.
He could be sentenced to a minimum of probation or up to three years in prison.
Investigators say Brierly and his ex-girlfriend got in an argument Oct. 27. Police accused him of putting a bullet in the chamber of a revolver and pointing it at his ex-girlfriend’s head and then near his own head repeatedly until it went off above his head.
Brierly’s defense attorney Matthew Connell disputed that Brierly ever pointed the gun at the woman.
