Shake away those flabby triceps
The Shake Weight may or may not lead to toned triceps, but it is certain to entertain. “I gave one to Queen Latifah yesterday and I believe in it so much I got one for all of you,” said Ellen DeGeneres when she featured the Shake Weight in September (and again over the holidays). The $19.95 device, sold at Wal-Mart (and at for $28 with shipping), claims to use “multidirectional resistance” to work the upper body. It’s definitely a conversation item if you keep it in the living room.

Calling all camps!
It might be freezing outside, but it isn’t too early to start thinking about summer camps. The Feb. 9 Denver Post LifeStyle section will be devoted to the selection process, including listings about the hundreds of camps in Colorado and elsewhere. To get ready, we’re asking camps to send us a listing. Submission deadline is Friday. Send all the information parents need to make an informed camp decision. Is it a day camp or overnight, coed or single-gender, computer camp or other specialty camp? Please list a few of the activities and dates, price, address, telephone number, website address and e-mail address. Send listing to living@denverpost.com. Questions? Call 303-954-1281.
