The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development last week awarded $439,100 to four Colorado housing authorities to help public housing residents find jobs.

Funding went to:

• Adams Housing Authority, $66,950

• Boulder Housing Partners, $68,000

• Fort Collins Housing Authority, $68,000

• Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver, $236,150

The grants will enable the housing authorities to hire program coordinators to work with residents to connect them with local education and training opportunities, job-placement organizations and local employers.
