ORLANDO, Fla.—The Powerball jackpot was expected to grow to an estimated $51 million for Wednesday since no one matched all six of the numbers drawn over the weekend, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.

The winning numbers on Saturday were 7, 8, 23, 41 and 55. The Powerball was 23 and the Power Play was 5.

Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $41.9 million jackpot.

Two tickets sold in Kentucky and South Carolina matched the first five numbers only to win $200,000 each. The top prize in Colorado was $10,000 each for two tickets that matched the Powerball plus four of the other numbers, Colorado Lottery officials said.

Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.

The game is now played in 31 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
