In a year when builders–particularly luxury home builders–aren’t creating a lot of new designs to see, you can be the first to tour one today: a big main-floor master model, with really dazzling entertaining and dining areas in a gated low-maintenance enclave, grand opening today in the heart of Greenwood Village.

The new “Cerise” model, 3,866 square feet, is not only newest main-floor master suite design to arrive at One Cherry Lane in the Denver Tech Center; it’s also the first chance to see how a private elevator looks in one of these luxury-low-maintenance homes. Builder Esprit Homes has tucked that right off the rotunda gallery entryway…offering a quick ride to the guest suite level (two suites, a study, loft space, and a clever detached space across a deck that works as a bright studio or a poker room)…or to the full basement.

The elevator option is important on this new plan, according to Dusty Wishmier, marketing director. Esprit already has several luxury-sized ranch plans (you can tour a ranch model, as well as another main-floor master)…but knows from buyer feedback that there is lots of interest in main level plans that can deliver a guest level above.

“Even with main-level living, a lot of people like a second level for when family comes,” Wishmier told me during a walk-thru, as landscapers were finishing up (all homes get landscape, a backyard space for personal use, and a large courtyard). A main-floor master also maximizes the cost-per-foot value, while retaining a ranch feel.

There’re plenty of other things to appreciate: a study off the master that has a private entrance to the courtyard, allowing business associates to visit without entering the main area. Also, a nice division between family and formal dining areas linked by a see-through fireplace; and a kitchen that embraces both, across a wide bar with sink.

Meanwhile, many of the lush finishes you’ll see in the Cerise are included standard at One Cherry Lane; and all homes in this gated enclave are within walking distance of a half dozen good restaurants, including new Tavern on the Green, Del Frisco, Yia Yia’s, Cool River, and Ted’s (west of the freeway at Landmark). Take DTC Boulevard south from Belleview half a mile to Park Terrace and turn west.
