At a certain point in life, buying a home is all about kids…where to put ’em, where to raise ’em. KB Home is a builder that understands kids; and they’ll prove the point at a grand opening of their newest homes, “The Open Series” –super-affordable single-family models with incredible prices and kid-friendly options for bedrooms and flex spaces, at Parkfield off Peña Boulevard on the way to DIA.
You’re going to see a single-family ranch here priced from only $144,995…(last year, the least expensive home KB Home could build in Parkfield with it parks and new elementary/middle schools was in the $190s). …Also, a “Dickens” 3-bedroom with over 2,000 feet from $164,995, with the wide-open kitchen-family area, a master suite with walk-in closet and private bath, and a computer/homework area off the kids’ bedrooms, as in homes priced twice as much.
These models are also to place to see Disney Dream Rooms–one bedroom done up as Pooh Corner, another in Hannah Montana. The Dream Rooms are more than a gimmick… As with all of the flex space options these new models deliver, you can have the room “Built to Order” as an option while your home is completed. (On some models, you can increase living area size by as much as 40% using flex options, depending on your needs).
The Open Series is the right design at the right time, says Robin Schneider, who’ll be on hand to tell you about financing options, including the up-to-$8,000 federal tax credit available this year, and CHFA loans that might give you a second loan for the 3.5% FHA down.
The most timely feature is the cost: Each is engineered to provide savings families are looking for in this economy…prices so low that they’re competitive with bank-owned homes (disappearing fast now) that don’t have the styling or Energy Star features. “These are the lowest priced new homes per-foot you’ll find, hands down,” she adds. Take Peña toward DIA, exit at 56th, then west ½-mile to Memphis, and south. (You can visit other models, and more Disney Rooms, too, at First Creek, on the other side of Peña on 56th to Argonne; and at Berkshire, off the Lochbuie exit from I-76.)
