FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A former Fort Collins middle school employee has pleaded guilty to Internet luring of a child and unlawful sexual contact for a relationship he had with a 13-year-old girl.
Twenty-one-year-old T.J. Skillman’s plea on Tuesday was part of an agreement with prosecutors to drop other felony charges he faced. The agreement calls for Skillman to register as a sex offender and serve four years of intensive supervision.
A judge will also have the option of sentencing him to up to 18 months in jail on March 12.
Prosecutors say Skillman exchanged inappropriate e-mails with the teenage student and asked to have sex with her. Police say Skillman admitted to kissing her.
Skillman was a paraprofessional at Preston Middle School.
