Getting your player ready...

LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska women’s basketball coach Connie Yori says she’s not worried about the Cornhuskers’ highest national ranking ever going to her players’ heads.

Yori told reporters on a Big 12 coaches’ teleconference Tuesday that her players are grounded and not taking anything for granted after getting off to a 16-0 start. The Huskers rose to No. 7 in The Associated Press poll this week. It’s the first time the program has been in the Top 10.

Yori says she and the players don’t talk much about what they have accomplished so far this season. She says the players focus on maintaining strong work habits and getting better every day.

Nebraska is off until Saturday’s home game against Kansas State.
