The Department of Defense said a 29-year-old Fort Carson soldier has died of noncombat-related injuries in Afghanistan.
Staff Sgt. Thaddeus S. Montgomery of West Yellowstone, Mont., died Wednesday at Lorengal Outpost, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.
