Colorado State guard-forward Kim Mestdagh is the Mountain West women’s basketball player of the week for the third time this season.

The 5-foot-10 sophomore from Belgium leads the MWC in scoring (averaging 17.2 points per game) and in 3-pointers made (averaging 3.3). She scored a combined 43 points in CSU victories over Nevada-Las Vegas (66-65) and New Mexico (67-60) last week.

The Rams are 11-7 overall. It’s their most wins since the 2004-05 season, when they finished 15-13.

Sun Belt salutes DU player.

The Sun Belt Conference named University of Denver sophomore forward Kaetlyn Murdoch its women’s basketball player of the week after her career-high 25 points led the Pioneers to a 71-68 victory over South Alabama on Saturday.

Outlaws’ Seibald in NLL trade.

The Boston Blazers of the National Lacrosse League traded midfielder Max Seibald to the Philadelphia Wings for a first-round draft pick and future considerations. Seibald also plays for the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse, for which he was the second overall pick last year after earning NCAA player of the year honors.

Floridian commits to CSU.

Colorado State’s football recruiting class continued to grow with an additional pledge from Nordly Capi, 6-foot-2, 242-pound defensive end from Ocoee, Fla. reported that Capi is the 24th member of the CSU class. Capi also is the Rams’ 11th commitment from Florida. He didn’t have any ranking on . Illinois showed some late interest in him.
