Time Warner Cable is shuttering two locations in metro Denver and laying off 350 employees, or 30 percent of its workforce in the state.
The company will close a call center and its National Systems headquarters, a process that will begin in 90 days and last for several months. Employees were notified Tuesday about the plans.
Time Warner Cable will employ 800 people at five locations in the state after the closures, spokesman Jim Gordon said today.
“We are not leaving Colorado,” Gordon said. “We are clearly invested here.”
He attributed the closures to a realignment of the company’s regional operations.
Time Warner Cable plans to hold on-site job fairs for its workers in the coming months. Eligible employees will be given severance.
