A single sign on the door of the Denver Appliance World lets customers know the company’s unfortunate fate.
Appliance World’s Web site does the same, saying that the company is “under bankruptcy protection.” The notice thanks customers for their patronage and apologizes for “this unfortunate occurrence.”
Customers of Appliance World who have been notified that their order is available are told to pick it up on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at the Denver warehouse at 320 S. Lipan.
The note on the site, www.applianceworldstores.com, continues, saying that customers with existing orders should check back with the company’s Web site for “ongoing information on receiving your product or a refund.”
The company told 9NEWS it expects to have a news release out in the next couple of days.
Appliance World operates six stores in Colorado.
