Gonzales shines in UNC loss.

University of Northern Colorado freshman Justin Gonzales won a battle of Weld County grapplers, but it was the only win for the Bears (1-12) as No. 3-ranked Oklahoma State (9-3-1) won a dual meet 41-3 in Greeley.

Gonzales, of Greeley, claimed a 3-2 decision over OSU junior Quinten Fuentes of Johnstown at 149 pounds. “Justin was ready to go,” Bears coach Ben Cherrington said. “I know there’s — I don’t want to say bad blood — but the old Northridge (High School) vs. Roosevelt (High School) rivalry came out there and Justin was ready.”
