COLORADO SPRINGS — Jared Festler scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period Friday night as St. Cloud State beat Colorado College 5-4 to move into a share of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association lead with Denver.
Festler’s goal came at 11:34 of the final period, 20 seconds after Bill Sweatt had tied it for the Tigers (14-10-3, 10-8-3).
David Eddy scored two goals, Ryan Lasch had one goal and two assists and Aaron Marvin added three assists for the Huskies (17-7-3, 12-5-2).
The teams combined for five goals in the third period as St.Cloud State emerged from a 2-2 tie to win its ninth straight game.

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Air Force goalie Andrew Volkening had a season-high 38 saves, but it was not enough as the Black Knights got past the Falcons (12-10-5, 12-6-5 Atlantic Hockey).
Drew Pierson broke a 2-2 tie with under five minutes left in the game by winning a faceoff in the offensive zone. Cheyne Rocha got the puck and fired, and Volkening made the save, but Pierson was on the doorstep for the rebound.
