Military discounts at Florida theme parks.

Universal Orlando Resort has extended its Military Salute program, which offers active and retired military personnel a free seven-day base ticket to both of its Florida theme parks, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. The pass, which is also valid at select Universal CityWalk clubs and venues, is good through March 26. The tickets are sold at participating Military ITT/ ITR offices (177 outposts) and the Shades of Green Resort in Orlando. San Francisco, San Diego.

Greystone Hotels, a collection of properties on the West Coast, has partnered with to offer savings on hotels in San Francisco and San Diego. For example, a room at the King George Hotel, near Union Square in San Francisco, is now $59 a night, including free parking; the standard rate is $95 a night, plus $31 for parking. Tax of $9 is additional. Also on sale: the Bristol Hotel in San Diego ($69; 62 percent off) and Hotel Griffon in San Francisco ($85; 44 percent off on stays Thursday through Sunday). Alaska cruise.

Holland America has put on sale a seven-day Alaska cruise. Rate is from $499 per person double, down from $949. Taxes of $108 are additional. The cruise departs from Seward (Anchorage) May 16. Ports of call include College Fjord, Glacier Bay, Juneau and Ketchikan. The cruise line also has reduced fares on its seven-day Bermuda cruise departing from New York on May 30, June 6 and June 13.
