AIR FORCE ACADEMY — With a 23-point game from junior guard Evan Washington leading the way, the Air Force Falcons ended a 22-game losing streak in Mountain West Conference play Saturday at Clune Arena.

The Falcons took a 51-50 lead on Washington’s field goal with 5:35 left and went on to a 70-63 victory over the Wyoming Cowboys.

Air Force (9-11, 1-6 MWC) pulled away on seven 3-point field goals and nine free throws in the second half. The Falcons shot 58.3 percent from the field in the second half to offset Wyoming’s big advantage under the basket.

Wyoming (9-12, 2-5) scored 38 points in the paint. Air Force softened Wyoming’s advantage inside by scoring 20 points off of 14 Wyoming turnovers.
