GREELEY, Colo.—A former volunteer firefighter accused of making 48 anonymous suicidal calls to emergency crews has pleaded guilty.

Forty-four-year-old Caryn Sodaro told authorities when she was arrested in December that she was depressed and suicidal. Authorities say Sodaro’s fake phone calls made ambulances and police officers hurry to several towns in south Weld County, including Fort Lupton, Hudson, and Firestone.

Sodaro plead guilty Monday to one felony count of attempting to influence a public servant. She’s expected to be sentenced in March.

Sodaro was a volunteer firefighter in Hudson.
