The state has begun its investigation of Pipkin Mortuary, accused of mixed up the bodies of two women.
The Department of Regulatory Agencies has begun interviewing employees of the mortuary in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, DORA spokesman Chris Lines said Wednesday.
On Monday, DORA ordered Pipkin to stop operating to allow a full investigation of the incident. The order restricts Pipkin from taking any new contracts but allows for funerals scheduled through Feb. 9, to take place.
