AVON — Avon police say a 31-year-old woman head-butted an officer who was trying to arrest her outside of a bar.
Police say Jessica Darlene Estes was being arrested for allegedly punching a woman in the parking lot of Finnegan’s Wake. The Vail Daily reported Friday that a police report says an officer was trying to put handcuffs on Estes when she allegedly head-butted him on the forehead about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Estes faces charges that include second- degree assault on a police officer. If convicted, she could face between five to 16 years in prison. The Associated Press
