COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado College’s Tyler Johnson had two goals and an assist on Saturday as Colorado College beat Mercyhurst 5-3 in men’s college hockey.

Colorado College (13-8-3) got goals from Andrew Hamburg, Brian McMillin and Mike Testwuide in the second period to take control of a game that featured five power-play goals. Mercyhurst (12-16-2) was 3-for-5 while the Tigers went 2-for-8.

Matt Fennell scored twice for the Lakers, the last goal at 19:50 of the third period.

Colorado College outshot Mercyhurst 42-34.

Tigers’ goalie Michael Shibrowski had 17 of his 31 saves in the third period. Mercyhurst goalies Max Strang and Ryan Zapolski combined for 37 saves.
