WHISTLER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Ski officials have postponed the men’s super-combined race for nearly a week because of an overnight snowstorm, the latest shuffling to the Alpine calendar at the Vancouver Olympics.

The event had been scheduled for Tuesday, but now will be run Sunday. The men’s giant slalom that was supposed to be Sunday has been shifted to Feb. 23.

The men’s super-combined is the third race that has been postponed following the mix of warm temperatures, snow, rain and fog that wreaked havoc with the Alpine schedule last week.

Of the four Alpine races scheduled so far, only one has gone off — the men’s downhill won Monday by Didier Defago of Switzerland.

Dry weather is forecast for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Also, Olympic women’s snowboardcross has been delayed two hours because of fog and rain on Cypress Mountain.

The roughly 20,000 folks who bought tickets to stand and watch events on Cypress Mountain are out of luck.

Olympics officials announced Tuesday that wet, warm weather has left the viewing area too dangerous for the general-admission, standing-room tickets sold for the snowboarding halfpipe, ski cross and snowboard parallel giant slalom.

Refunds will be available for the tickets, which went for $48 to $62 depending on the event.

The announcement wasn’t too much of a surprise. The same thing had already been done for the snowboardcross events held Monday and Tuesday.

Following the postponement of today’s men’s super-combined and cancellation of today’s women’s downhill training, here is the latest on the alpine ski schedule at the Olympics:

Wednesday: Women’s downhill

Thursday: Women’s super combined

Friday: Men’s super-G

Saturday: Women’s super-G

Sunday: Men’s super-combined
