A man killed early Saturday when he was run over by a truck during a confrontation in Lakewood has been identified as 33-year-old Ever Olivas-Ruelas.
The incident occurred about 1:05 a.m. in the 5400 block of West Alameda. Witnesses told police a fight involving numerous individuals had spilled into the parking lot of a restaurant-bar.
During the fight, a man identified as Joel Vargas-Ramirez, 28, allegedly ran over Olivas-Ruelas with his truck.
Steve Davis, spokesman for the Lakewood Police Department, said Vargas-Ramirez was found a short time later and arrested. He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he is being held for investigation of first-degree murder.
