DENVER—President Barack Obama will be speaking at two fundraising events Thursday for Sen. Michael Bennet in Denver.

The first event will be at a public event at the Fillmore Auditorium, followed by a private event at The Sheraton Hotel. Bennet was appointed to fill the seat vacated by Ken Salazar after Obama nominated him to serve as interior secretary.

Obama is making the trip as part of a swing across the West on behalf of Democratic Senate candidates. After Denver, Obama will head to Las Vegas for a Democratic Party fundraiser and events Friday for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
