The threat of increased class sizes, bus fees and employee furloughs drew more than 1,000 people to Douglas County’s school board meeting Tuesday night.
The district is considering more than $40 million in budget cuts for the 2010-11 school year, and a preliminary list of about 30 ideas got the OK from a citizen’s advisory committee at the meeting at Ranch View Middle School in Highlands Ranch.
The board is scheduled to vote on the cuts March 2.
