ANCHORAGE, Alaska — In an effort to calculate child support, Bristol Palin’s attorney is seeking permission to subpoena Playgirl magazine, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, Vanity Fair, the National Enquirer, Star magazine and The Insider to determine how much money Levi Johnston, the father of Palin’s child, has made.

It could take a judge weeks to decide on attorney Thomas Van Flein’s request on behalf of Palin, the daughter of the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate. Johnston, 19, has said he wasn’t paid for many of the interviews. His attorney, Rex Butler, didn’t return a call Thursday seeking comment. Palin is seeking $1,688 a month in child support.
