“Sparkle aplenty” is the mantra for fall, with designers showing a galaxy of jewel-encrusted jackets, crystal-embroidered dresses, and sequins lavished on everything from T-shirts to ball gowns.
Why this blitz of glitz?
Maybe it’s to brighten our mood or perk up the predominately gray and black palette.
Whether these high-voltage clothes bedazzle shoppers or leave them in the dark won’t be known until they appear in stores next fall, but give designers props for igniting the runways.
