DENVER—The FBI is looking for two men investigators say are responsible for a dozen bank robberies in rural areas of Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.
Federal investigators have dubbed the pair the “High Country Bandits” and say they make their getaway in a green or maroon 4-wheel ATV.
Investigators say one man typically enters a bank just before it is about to close and brandishes a handgun before asking for all the money in tellers’ drawers. The FBI says the man then leaves with the second suspect.
Investigators describe the suspects as either white or Hispanic and in their 30s. One is about 5-foot-3-inches to 5-foot-6-inches tall and is described as having a deep, raspy voice and thin legs.
The other suspect is described as being 6 feet tall with straight black hair.
