Two young girls playing in Remington Park on Thursday found an aluminum baseball bat Thornton police think was used in Monday’s fatal assault on 16-year-old Nathan Bozonier.
Witnesses said the occupants of a car that dragged Bozonier got out and began beating him with the bat in the 2000 block of Dichter Court about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
A 1996 Nissan Maxima that police think struck Bozonier was found at a body shop Tuesday night. Police said the car’s owner had been questioned, but no arrests have been announced.
