
The morning commute today could be a slushy one as light to moderate snow was expected to fall on the metro region overnight, according to forecasters.
Denver had an 80 percent chance of snow overnight, with about an inch in the city and up to 3 inches in the foothills, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Lighter snow could continue into the morning, followed by a melt-off in the afternoon as the temperature climbs to about 40 degrees, forecasters said.
Highs in the 50s are expected Tuesday and Wednesday, with a chance of rain Thursday and a forecast high near 50 degrees.
Southern Colorado from Cañon City to the Kansas border is under a winter weather advisory until 8 a.m. today, with up to 6 inches of accumulation forecast, according to the Weather Service office in Pueblo. Joey Bunch, The Denver Post
