Diane Gomez and daughter Danielle Alexander typically celebrate their Feb. 28 birthdays together.
“Every year we sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to one another, and she would always have a little something extra special for me,” said Alexander, 25.
But this year, on Sunday, Alexander had her own little something extra special: Her own daughter arrived at 8:22 p.m., five weeks ahead of schedule.
And so baby makes three generations of gals in the family born the same day.
“It’s super special,” said Alexander, an emergency medical technician at Denver Health Medical Center. “I loved sharing a birthday with my mother, and I’m happy to do it with my daughter.”
In the two days since their little girl arrived, Alexander and the newborn’s father, Germain Guerrero, both of Fort Lupton, had not agreed on a name.
