RENO, Nev.—Nevada’s football team opens the 2010 season with three straight home games, including the first-ever appearance of the Pac-10’s Cal Bears at Mackay Stadium on Sept. 18.

The Wolf Pack host Eastern Washington of the Big Sky Conference in a Thursday night season opener Sept. 2. They host Colorado State Sept. 11.

Nevada will conclude non-league play Sept. 25 at BYU and Oct. 2 at UNLV.

It will mark the first time Nevada has played three games at home to begin the season since 1991, when it played four straight. Nevada coach Chris Ault said Tuesday it should help add some excitement early in a season the Wolf Pack have a 13-game schedule.

The Western Athletic Conference portion of the schedule is expected to be finalized later this month.
