COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Friends and relatives of a Colorado Springs filmmaker killed in the Haiti earthquake were gathering for a memorial Saturday.

David Hames worked for Compassion International, a nonprofit that fights child poverty. Hames’ body was found last month in the lobby of the Hotel Montana in Port-au-Prince.

Another worker for the nonprofit, Dan Woolley, was rescued and flown back to Colorado.

The Saturday memorial for Hames was at a Colorado Springs church. The filmmaker is survived by a wife and two sons.
