GREELEY — A 16-year-old whom prosecutors called a known gang member was found guilty Tuesday of firing a gun at a group of boys on bicycles in Greeley in August.
Rene Garcia, 15, was hit in the mouth but escaped fatal injury. The story was publicized nationally because Garcia was able to spit the 22-caliber bullet from his mouth.
A Weld County jury found Raul Rojas guilty on 24 counts, including seven counts of attempted criminal manslaughter. He will be sentenced April 6.
