FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Deron Rindels’ free throw with 4.1 seconds remaining in overtime lifted Faith Christian to a 50-49 win over Kent Denver in the semifinals of the Colorado 3A boys state basketball tournament Friday night.

Richard Yates threw the inbound pass away for Kent Denver (21-5) following the free throw. Jared Smith led the Sun Devils with 15 points. The loss snapped Kent Denver’s 11-game winning streak.

Rindels led Faith Christian (25-1) with 13 points. The two-time defending champions’ only blemish has been a forfeit loss to Denver Christian.

Rindels tied the game at 45-45 with 20 seconds left to send it into overtime.
