It was only a matter of time. Denver-based DJ/producer Derek Vincent Smith, who , is ready for a bigger stage.
Pretty Lights, who completes his five-night, sold-out Colorado theater run tonight and Saturday with shows at the Gothic and Ogden theaters, respectively, will headline a date at in August.
Smith, who recently relocated from Fort Collins to Denver, will headline Red Rocks on Aug. 7, The Denver Post has learned. It should be a banger of a party, considering that Pretty Lights sold out his five theater dates — equal to more than 5,000 tickets — in less than three days. Red Rocks’ capacity checks in at just under 10,000.

Norah Jones and Corinne Bailey Rae will soon announce their own August date at Red Rocks.
R&B/hip-hop sensation Drake also has an Ogden Theatre date n May 17.
