A Boulder County man who walked out on a halfway house sentence and poached a black bear is headed to prison.
Craig Archer was sentenced Friday to six years for walking away from his community corrections sentence. The 56-year-old Allenspark man was accused of poaching last fall when a neighbor reported a trail of blood by his house. Authorities found a dead bear, along with marijuana.
