AIR FORCE ACADEMY — A power-play goal by left wing Jacques Lamoureux with 1:25 left in the third period gave the Air Force Falcons a 3-2 win, and they went on to beat Army 4-2 Saturday night in the Air Force Ice Arena.

The victory boosted the Falcons to their second triumph in two nights over the Black Knights in the Atlantic Hockey Assn. playoffs. Air Force advances to the conference’s Final Four for the fourth straight year.

Lamoureux’s goal gave the Falcons their first lead of the game. An open-net goal by Derrick Burnett with 20 seconds left clinched the victory.

On the winning goal, Burnett sent a pass from behind the goal to a wide-open Lamoureux, who had a point-blank shot at Army goalie Jay Clark.

Sean Bertsch scored his third goal in the two games to open the scoring for the Falcons. Brandon Johnson also scored for Air Force, tying the score at two with 2:38 left in the second period.
