DENVER—Police say a man fell about 15 feet from an apartment complex while trying to flee an apartment where officers later found a marijuana growing operation.
Police say the man was taken to a Denver hospital to be treated but he was not seriously hurt. Police say officers had responded to the apartment complex near downtown Denver after an employer asked them to check on a woman who had not gone to work.
Police say they knocked on the door of apartment on the fifth floor of the building but no one answered. An officer who went outside later heard someone slam onto the ground nearby. Police say the man had left the fifth-floor apartment through a balcony or a window and was climbing down the building when he fell.
The man has not been arrested and his name was not released.
