A man wanted for allegedly attempting to run over an Adams County deputy sheriff late Tuesday was arrested Thursday after a short foot chase in Federal Heights.

David Andrew Herr was spotted about 5 p.m. Thursday. He was taken into custody and booked into the Adams County Detention Facility. He is being investigated for attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, child abuse and vehicular eluding stemming from the incident on Tuesday.

Herr is being held without bond on a warrant from the Department of Corrections for a parole violation on an assault conviction.
