COLORADO SPRINGS — Two teens and a 12-year-old girl are suspected of hitting a good Samaritan in the head with a hammer and stealing her car over the weekend in Colorado Springs.

The victim, a 35-year-old woman, was entering a grocery store about 1 a.m. when she was approached by three juveniles who said they needed a ride home, police said.

She gave the boy and two girls a ride to an apartment building. They coaxed her behind the building where they struck her on the head and stole her car, police said.

A police officer later spotted the car and took the three into custody.

The victim was treated for her injuries at a local hospital and released.
