SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco prosecutors say an additional 1,400 cases may be dropped this week because of a scandal at the crime lab.
Brian Buckelew, a spokesman for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, says the additional cases would come on top of the 500 cases that have already been dropped, following allegations that a longtime technician stole cocaine evidence.
