Spare the Hare gets rolling

Join local sports celeb Marcia Neville and champion pro bowler Debbie McMullen for silly bowling and serious fundraising, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 10 at Elitch Lanes, 3825 Tennyson St. Spare the Hare will raise money for the Sporting Woman Community Fund, which has given more than $38,000 over the past seven years to help girls and women pursue their sports dreams, from entry fees to new shoes to coaching. Registration is $30, $35 on event day. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and most friends.

Edibly Fit brings produce to town

The Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center is joining the community-supported agriculture movement. The CSA at the JCC will help to support Isabelle Farm near Lafayette, and members will receive fresh, organic vegetables from the 50-acre Boulder County farm. How it works: At least 40 members buy shares of the harvest, committing to deliveries over a 21-week growing season from June 3 to Oct. 21. The produce will be delivered between 5 and 7 p.m. Thursdays at the JCC. Edibly Fit recipients can expect four to eight types of produce per week. Large shares are $650, small shares are $440. Dash and dine returns to Boulder

After a two-year hiatus, the Dash & Dine series starts up again at 6:30 p.m. April 13 at Coot Lake near Boulder Reservoir. After the 5K, runners can dash across the street to Tom Watson Park for a post-race cookout. “We try to keep it a laid-back family atmosphere,” says organizer Lance Panigutti. “We’ll be grilling Boca Burgers, turkey and beef burgers.” Registration is $20, and $1 of each entry will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
